Venetians Lands short ride

Day 1 – Mestre
Individual arrivals and overnight at the reserved hotel.

Day 2 – Mestre/Venice – Chioggia (35 kms)
Leaving Mestre today we head into Venice pedaling on the 4 km bridge “della Libertà” to Tronchetto island. From here we take the car ferry to Lido island passing by Giudecca canal and in front of St. Mark’s square. Once arrived to Lido we pedal along its lagoon and seashore sides to Malamocco, the former Doge’s residence before St.Mark’s. Continue to Alberoni, from where we take the car ferry to the island of Pellestrina. Cycle along the lagoon passing the fisherman villages of San Pietro in Volta, Portosecco and Pellestrina. Possibility to visit Cà Roman, an uncontaminated natural reserve, where it is possible to stop for some bird-watching. Then a ferry to Chioggia for the overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 – Chioggia – Padova (60 kms)
We will be pedaling along the two rivers that carried trade in and out of Venice centuries ago: the Bacchiglione and Brenta rivers. We continue onto Strà, famous for the majestic Villa Pisani. On Arrival in Padova, we will find the great basilica dedicated to St. Anthony, the historic Caffè Pedrocchi and Prato della Valle. Overnight at the reserved hotel in Padova

Day 4 – Padova – Mestre (45 kms)
We will cycle along the Brenta canal overlooked by the villas of the ancient Venetian nobility until we reach Mestre.
